Finally got the electricity flowing to the office and the master bedroom. Where was the fault? It was at an outlet that I checked.
...not thoroughly enough, apparently.
It was just a neutral wire at one of my bedside outlets that I replaced with one that has a USB in it. I installed it back when we first moved into this new house 2 or so years ago. When the surge happened, it must have popped out of there. When I first checked that outlet, there was no smell of ozone or any indicator (from what I could see with just my cell phone flashlight, anyway) that the culprit was in that outlet.
Well, that's solved and now we have power back.
So yeah, that's done. Time to move back to getting projects done!
